The Animal Care Society

For July and August of 2020, Froggy’s Popcorn will donate 25 cents from every bag of popcorn sold to The Animal Care Society (ACS). We wanted you to know a little bit more about this wonderful organization.

ACS is Louisville’s first no-kill animal shelter.  Founded in 1984, ACS has been helping our community’s pets find new homes and avoid unnecessary euthanasia.  As a 501c3 non-profit, their financial support comes solely from annual subscription memberships, adoption fees, and donations made by community partners and individuals.  ACS receives no government funding and relies on this community to not only stay open, but to provide the best level of care.

ACS speaks for the voiceless and leads by example in their ongoing work.  They provide responsible and humane treatment to their dog and cat guests until appropriate homes can be found.  The core values of the organization are compassion, integrity, dignity, and dedication.  Since 1984, ACS has placed over 12,000 pets into devoted and responsible homes and we couldn’t be more proud to support them!

You can support ACS at one of its signature events: Bark in the Park in the fall, the Bow-Wow-Meow Christmas Boutique in December, and the ACS Pet Gala in the spring; by donating time and/or supplies; or by making a financial contribution to help the residents live their best lives before being adopted into their forever homes.  Visit animalcaresociety.org to find out more about the shelter, how to adopt one of our pets, and how you can be involved.
